Poison Spider Mesa

Status Unknown Challenging 5,200 ft ~9 miles slickrock/technical

Poison Spider Mesa is one of the most technically demanding trails in the Moab corridor. Big ledge drops, exposed sidehills, and commitment moves on smooth sandstone demand a well-equipped rig and driver skill. Lockers — front and rear — are effectively required on several sections. The trail links up with Portal Trail, which is expert-only and should not be attempted without specific experience. Known for vehicle recoveries; go prepared or go home.
