Hackett Gulch is the Denver overlander's backyard shakedown trail. Close to the city and accessible most of the year, it's rocky enough to test your rig's articulation and find any rattles before a big trip. The lower sections are accessible even when the upper trail is snowed in. A solid loop for breaking in new gear and building driver confidence without committing to a full expedition.
